Organisations continue to adopt a cloud-first or a cloud preferred strategy as a central aspect of their transformation agenda. This often means moving existing applications and application architectures to the public cloud. This isn’t always the right approach in terms of cost efficiency or maximising the benefits of the public cloud.

That said, Enterprises that introduce a container first strategy lay a foundation for successful cloud adoption that leverages the best capabilities of the public cloud while optimising costs and critically allowing organisations to avoid cloud lock-in. Gartner has predicted that by 2025, 85% of enterprises will have containers running in production, up from 35% in 2019.

At Pure we believe that organisations are actually running ahead of this prediction.  Many have started with the low hanging fruit of building or transforming stateless applications; they then very quickly realised that persistent data is central to much of their application estate. In this session, we’ll provide an insight into how leading organisations are transforming their applications to be able to meet the agility demands of today’s business environment while maintaining flexibility and optimising their costs.
