SIAM and Defence

Enabling Capability, Collaboration and Interoperability Across Defence Ecosystems

Defence increasingly operates as a complex ecosystem involving internal organisations, strategic suppliers, SMEs, technology partners and international allies.

As these ecosystems become more connected, a critical question emerges: how can stakeholders collaborate effectively across organisational, supplier and national boundaries?

This executive virtual event brings together members of the Scopism SIAM and Defence Working Group to share emerging insights from a new white paper examining the role of Service Integration and Management (SIAM) in defence.

The discussion will explore SIAM as an enterprise capability for connecting organisations, suppliers and outcomes. It will also consider the relationship between SIAM, architecture and interoperability, and how defence organisations can balance innovation and agility with resilience, readiness, security and control.

Drawing on perspectives from different defence contexts, the session will examine what effective service integration could mean for the increasingly federated and interconnected defence ecosystems of the future.

In this session, we will examine:

  • The defence integration challenge
  • The role of SIAM in defence
  • Collaboration, federation and interoperability
  • Industry, innovation and future defence ecosystems
  • Key considerations for defence leaders
